2007 Boulder Short Track Series

Mountain Bike Racing is back in Boulder for a eighth year!

Test your skills on the best single track in the heart of Boulder ...
the only single track in town. We'll be doing the usual Wednesday Night races starting June 13th up through August.

  • FYI ~ "C" Class is fast, "B" Class is faster , "A" Class is fastest
  • Registration We are again NORBA Sanctioned for 2007   What does that mean for you ?    If you race Mens A, you will need a NORBA Annual license.   If you race any other class, you will have to pay a ONE TIME license fee of $5 - that means you pay $5 above the entry fee once for the whole series - i.e. you race once pay an extra $5, race 5 times you pay $5 once.

    Registration opens at 4:45pm. Racers must sign a standard NORBA release. Registration closes 10 min before selected category start time. Race day registration only. No refunds. Races will run rain (depending on mud factor) or shine.
    Entry Fee All categories are $12, except Juniors race FREE
    Prizes Cash for the overall.
    Music As usual you'll be racing to hippest hoppinest tunes available andwith occasional World Class announcing by local legend Dave Towle !
    Short Track ? Mountain Bike Short Track race (MTB shôrt trak ras) n. a mountain bike competition similar to a criterium where riders do multiple laps on a short 3-5 min dirt course for 20-25 mins. Very fast and fun!
    Where, CU Research Park The CU Research Park is located in Boulder, CO, just 3 blocks east of campus. Directions: From Denver, I-25 to 36 into Boulder. Make a right on Foothills Pkwy. Left on Colorado Ave. First right on Discovery Dr. Follow marshals to parking. From Boulder, ride your bike!
    Upgrade Policy In an order to stop Mens B and C riders from "Sandbagging" (the practice of racing in a category below one's ability to win extra schwag), we have made the following change effective immediately for Men's B and C racers...

    * You are upgraded if you finish four (4) top 3 placings in a given category and one of the four placings was a first place.
    * You are upgraded if you finish five (5) top 3 placings in a given category.
